I'll take whatever I can get!

Yesterday was another OK day for me. My eating was way better. There were some things that I should not have eaten but I'm not going to stress about them. I didn't get a chance to workout though. I need to workout as soon as I get home. Usually, I like to rest for a bit but that makes it too easy to get lazy and do nothing.

Breakfast: oatmeal, almonds, apple
Snack: yogurt
Lunch: rice, beans, 2 oz. of roasted pork
Snack: carrots, green peppers, dip
snack: Orange
Dinner: rice, eggplant and beef dish, 2 tostones
Dessert: Fudge Pop (greatest invention ever!! low cal and chocolatey!)

Things that shouldn't have made it to my list: 4 Hershey kisses, shortbread cookies (those pesky things!!)

Things that didn't make it onto my list: soda, Fast food.

So I was good on somethings but just a little bad on other things. I'll most definitely take that! Plus, the fluffy feeling is subsiding a bit. It's always a good day when I don't feel so fluffy!

I hate Mondays...

...so I'll post about Sunday!

Sunday was just OK. Had some things that I really shouldn't have eaten but like always, it could have been a lot worse.

Breakfast: 1 T peanut butter, 1 slice of bread, milk
Snack: popcorn, coke, shortbread cookies
30 minutes on the elliptical (Woohoo!! I'm on a two day roll!!)
Dinner: some type of pork, beans, rice, avocado
Later on: had a piece of Boyfriend's lasagna

Hmm? It doesn't seem like too much food, but I sure did feel the fluff throughout the day. It could have been the soft drinks. I have definitely got to stop drinking that stuff.

I'm not too worried about losing much weight right now. What I want to lose is inches. I know you can be losing inches but not losing pounds. You know what I mean? So I really want to concentrate on doing some strength workouts and using my weights. You see, I'm leaving to California in a couple of weeks for my cousin's wedding. Well, there is a dress and some shorts that I really need to squeeze myself into. I need them to fit and for me to be comfortable in them. I'm really hoping I get to where I need to be. I know it's a short time frame, but I'm going to try my hardest to lose whatever I can lose.

Wish me luck!!

P.S. Almonds = greatness!

A rare weekend post

Tuesday - Friday: pretty much disaster days. I didn't work out, food wasn't right. Although on Thursday, I have to say the day started out great until I had pizza for dinner.

So onto Saturday.
10am Breakfast - oatmeal and an apple
Organized the bedroom for a bit
12pm Lunch - rice and egg and tomatoes, arepa
Worked out on the elliptical for 30 minutes.
Went to get groceries.
Had a rice krispy treat.
Went to pick up something for the boyfriend. (Men are the biggest babies ever when they're sick!)
Had a small chocolate shake from Chik Fil A.
Had dinner - Lasagna, 1 piece of bread
Dessert - flan

The day wasn't too too bad. I could have definitely done without the rice krispy treat, the chocolate shake, and the copious amounts of Coke I had later on in the evening. But I did get my workout in. Plus, getting groceries is a workout in itself. So much walking and sweating.

Having a semi-good day after all the horrible days I've been having is most certainly uplifting. I'm on a positive trip right now and I plan on taking full advantage of it!

...I'm back with my tail between my legs

Well, weight watchers is on the back burner right now. Some things went down last week and it just wasn't a good time for it. I really want to do the meetings while I do weight watchers, so I think I'm going to put it on hold for a bit.

So back to trying to eat right. So far it hasn't worked out too well, but I'm trying. Well, ok, not really but I know I'll get it one day.

I did get to work out last night. I did Day 1 of Level 1 of the 30 Day Shred. Again, I have to say I LOVE this workout. It's just the total body workout in less than 30 minutes. But do I love it enough to do it for one month straight? We'll see.

I don't really know what to say

Well, my first day on ww was interesting. Let's just say I've already used up 24 of my weekly flex points. Whoa!

I don't know what happened. The day started off so perfect. I ate my planned breakfast, lunch, and snacks. But then once I was out of work, the monster came out to play. Gosh, I really don't know what it is.

I don't know why I do what I do. I wasn't starving when I went to the grocery store and grabbed that 3 Musketeers and 2 slices of coconut cake. Really, I wasn't. But I saw them and had to have them. I wasn't even hungry when I accepted a Taco Bell taco from the boyfriend. Nope, I think I could have made it until dinnertime, a couple of hours later, to eat something. But they were put in front of me and I took them. And I ate them.

I really don't know what's going on.

Well, it's time to really take drastic, drastic measures. One thing that may help me is I've decided to stop carrying cash/credit/debit cards with me. Having money easily assesible is just feeding the insanity that is called my eating habits. I'm hoping this helps me tons.

Here's to Day 2. =/

{Gosh, my blog is really starting to sound like a broken record, ain't it?}

Time for drastic measures...

I finally caved.

I just wasn't doing it with eating whatever I wanted without counting calories, points, etc. So I decided to join the millions of others and count points. Yes, I am now a weight watcher.

First off, I'm not going to meetings. I would love to, but 40 bucks a month is really a luxury and I'm just not in the right place to splurge on luxuries. So I'm using material that I have from an attempt I made to follow weight watchers not too long ago. I believe it was last year. Plus, there are so many helpful tools on the internet at my disposal. Maybe, one day, I will make it official and get my butt to meetings.

Now, I am not a stranger to weight watchers. I tried it once way back when and my last feeble attempt was, like I mentioned, last year. I guess I can say my heart really wasn't in the right place so I never took full advantage of what I was paying for.

So, I'm on my first day of counting points. It's going ok so far. But it's only 10 am.

Maybe I'm speaking too soon, but I feel really good about this.

Uh oh...

And a HYC update.

So I stepped on the scale this morning for my weekly weigh-in. 261.8. Wow. That's the highest I've ever been.

I don't know if it was the soda binge I went on this holiday weekend, all the food I've been eating finally catching up to me, or because I worked with weights last night and my muscles are retaining a crapload of water that put me where I'm at (I'm hoping it's the latter). I have really got to get it together. Because sooner than you know it, it'll be 262, then 265, then 270, until I finally hit 300. Oh my, I'm only 39 pounds from 300. Oy vey!

Yesteday's eating was ok, but there was some things I really shouldn't have eaten.

Breakfast: raisin bran, milk, OJ
Lunch: rice and beans
Snack: orange
Dinner: rice, chicken, potato, plantain

Un-called fors: pack of Knotts Berry Farm Cookies, 2 PB cups, 1 turkey, cheese, and mayo sandwhich

Workout - 25 minutes on the elliptical, weights
