I wake up every evening with a big smile on my face

I ate too much and I hated it.

I went on a bit of a donut binge yesterday. And I'm really paying for it this morning. I won't be doing that again.

My workout consisted of Slim in 6: Start It Up. I am done with the first workout. The regime is supposed to be as follows: six days of working out, 1 day of rest. The first workout is Start It Up. Do this for a couple of days just until you get comfortable with it. I did it for the first six days just to build up my strength a bit. The next workout is Ramp It Up; do this workout for about a week to a week and a half, just until you are comfortable. I'll probably do this for two weeks. The last and final workout is Burn It Up; do this workout for the remainder of the six weeks. That will be three weeks for me. And then I am done with Slim in 6 and I'll have the hot body that I've always wanted.

Not really. I'll probably start the 30 day shred workout and next, probably a kickboxing DVD (thanks for the idea Natalia!) I'll be on the look out for some more workout ideas. I cannot wait until it starts to get warmer and then I can take my workout outside! I am really looking forward to the spring!

  1. first.. I LOVE THAT song that you put as your header :) (i hope you were taking that from the song..or i feel kind of dumb now! haha)
second.. about the donuts.. at least you learned not to do it again! the gym i go to in the morning to shower after my outside "bootcamp" workout is right across the street from a donut shop! And b/c I go at 645am.. the donuts are FRESH and boy can i smell them! i have to RUN to my car to get away from the temptation!
and THIRD (& last.. ) Keep us updated on the slim in 6! I'm thinking of trying something rather than just the gym!

  2. I have the slim in 6 DVD's as well & love's a great workout!! and to be honest I haven't even attempted burn it up...i might tho sometime, just for kicks! ;)

  3. alex - if you're talking about that song from that band that starts with all and ends with rejects then don't feel dumb =) that's great that you can fight that temptation...and it's even greater that you are one of those that works out in the a.m. (how I envy you)

Darci - burn it up burns real bad!! you should try it sometime and then let me know if I'm whining about nothing and it really isn't that tough of a workout (it'll probably be easier for you since you're a runner) (oh, how I envy you too)

  4. Ahhhh spring. That sounds so nice. It does seem a lot easier to get motivated to work out when the weather is nice.

  5. Karen - yes! there are so many fun things to do outside. working out inside gets kind of boring sometimes =(

  6. We've had some really great weather lately and it's been annoying me to no end to not be able to take advantage of it. Tonight for sure!

  7. YES! AAR :)
P.S. i only work out in the morning because I paid $300 for a four week bootcamp thats EVERY AM from 530-630.. believe me..when its over..i'm going back to sleeping in until 7am, rolling out of bed and heading to work and doing my workouts in the PM! haha i love me some sleep!
