Another Bad Day

Oy vey! I'm getting into bad habits again. No, no, no! I was doing so good and now I've sort of thrown all my hard work down the drain because the scale was up this morning. Grrr!! What a waste!

Thursday
Breakfast: Sausage McMuffin with Egg, Hash brown, Coke
I was craving McD's so bad. So I went. No biggie. I ate my breakfast and got the craving out of the way. The rest of the day should of been gravy, right? Wrong!

Snack: Rice Krispie Treat.
Not the small square, the huge long one. I don't really know why I got this.

Lunch: Roasted Chicken, Rice, 1 baby potato, beet salad

Snack: cantaloupe, strawberries, red globe grapes

Here's where I went crazy:
When I got home: 3 Zaxby's chocolate chip cookies, 1 chicken strip, 1 buffalo wing, and a lot of fries
Again, I have no idea why I ate that food.

Dinner: Chicken soup, rice, avocado

No exercise.

Another fail day under my belt. Go me!!

  2. Okay, let's adjust our thinking here.

Let's exchange the word fail for learning experience. Don't be negative--look for the positives.

Breakfast: McDonalds. I have to tell you, an egg McMuffin is one of my very favorite things ever. I love them. BUT...now I make them at home. So next time you get a craving, pop in a light English muffin in your toaster, use a boca sausage patty (do they have those, I'm not into sausage--or some lower-cal/fat version) an egg and 2% or FF cheese. Use ICBINB spray.

Guess what, it will fulfill your craving. You can also find some potatos low-cal frozen hash browns in the freezer section.

You did great with your fruits!

Substitute that Rice Krispie bar. Maybe some kind of Fiber One bar or a breakfast bar or something you like that's close.

Look everything over and make sure you have healthier choices available.

You CAN do this. Just don't look at things in terms of failure, look at off days as learning experiences, take the positive away, learn what you can do differently.

Have a well-supplied kitchen/and have good snack choices at work with you.

Have a special treat every once in awhile.

Just remember that you are worth it!

Don't beat yourself up. Start fresh today.

I look at what you ate and I am envious in that you ate: 1 baby potato, beet salad, cantaloupe, strawberries, red globe grapes and an avocado. Seriously. I wish I were that good.
